Why are we obsessed with true crime?

Leading phycologists suggest we are fascinated with evil. True crime gives us real insight into something we would never dream of doing however it is almost normal for some of these killers. The conflict between good and evil is something which interests us even as children. We want to find out what causes people to commit these acts and really learn why they would do things most wouldn’t even think of. The idea of not being able to ‘look away from an accident’, the actions of a killer may be horrible to behold but we simply cannot look away due to the spectacle.  Another reason may be because of the adrenaline rush, reading about the crimes gives us a thrilling rush which can have a euphoric effect. Solving the mystery, who doesn’t love a good whodunit, true crime can be like that sometimes making it enjoyable for us. When told right true crime can be a fascinating and shocking world, this is something which we are aiming to tap into and bring you some enjoyment from such horrible acts.
